MAXIMUM DURATION FINAL EXAMS (Additional Exams for Students Who Have Reached the Maximum Study Period)
Students who enrolled in our vocational school in 2021 (and have reached the maximum study period) but have not yet graduated are granted two additional exam rights in accordance with Article 11 of Balıkesir University’s Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Education and Examination Regulations.
Students who enrolled in our vocational school in 2021 (or in earlier years if they had frozen their registration) may take the exams for all the courses they have failed.
At the end of these exams, students who cannot reduce the number of failed courses to five—including courses they have never taken or for which they did not meet attendance requirements—will be dismissed from the university.
Students who reduce the number of failed courses to 5 (including courses never taken) after these exams will be granted 3 additional semesters; those who reduce the number to 1 course will be granted unlimited exam rights. Students who are given unlimited exam rights must pay their tuition fees during the registration periods of the relevant semesters.
In accordance with the regulations, students who enrolled in 2022 or later are not eligible to take these exams.

For applications to the 2025–2026 Academic Year Maximum Duration Final Exams, students must submit their signed petition (dilekçe) to Ayvalık Vocational School within the application dates specified in the academic calendar.

01 September 2025 – Announcement of the names of students eligible for the Maximum Duration Final Exams (on the Ayvalık Vocational School website)
02 September 2025 – Application dates for the 1st Additional Exam of the Maximum Duration Final Exams
04–05 September 2025 – Dates of the 1st Additional Exam
09 September 2025 – Application dates for the 2nd Additional Exam
11–12 September 2025 – Dates of the 2nd Additional Exam
EXAM SCHEDULE: Will be announced on 02 September 2025. Exams will be held in person.
