A Technical Trip to Mosques and Churches in Ayvalık within the Scope of the Architecture and Art History Course

of the Architectural Restoration Program at Balıkesir University Ayvalık
Vocational School carried out a technical trip to the historical mosques and
churches in Ayvalık as part of the Architecture
and Art History course taught by Dr. Lecturer Figen Erdoğdu.
During
the trip organized within the framework of the educational program, the
students visited Hamidiye Mosque, Çınarlı Mosque, Ayvalık Taksiyarhis Church,
and Aya Triada Church. Throughout the visit, art history terms were examined
on-site, and information was provided about the architectural features of the
structures, their periodical differences, and their restoration processes.
Dr. Lecturer Figen Erdoğdu stated that such trips organized within the scope of the course help students reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical application and contribute to the developme
