Second-year students of the Business Administration Department at Ayvalık Vocational School visited an existing solidarity-based initiative involving women producers in order to draw attention to the importance of women’s solidarity and handcrafted labor, within the scope of their Public Relations course.

The visit was carried out as part of social responsibility activities planned within the course. Under the guidance of the course instructor, Gözde Nur Coşkun Kaya, students had the opportunity to observe firsthand how products created through women’s manual labor are evaluated and to examine the economic and social contributions of this process.

During the visit, the women shared their experiences in the production process and explained how solidarity has empowered them. It was emphasized that this model contributes not only to women’s income generation but also to increasing their visibility and self-confidence.

The event was regarded as a meaningful learning experience in terms of respect for women’s labor, awareness of solidarity, and the development of social consciousness.
