"Diction Management" Talk Held at Ayvalık Vocational School

At Balıkesir University Ayvalık Vocational School, a talk titled “The Power of Speech: Practical Ways to Speak Effectively through the Art of Diction” was organized within the scope of the Career Planning course.

At the event, where Ülkü Menderes participated as the speaker, important information was shared on effective communication, correct breathing techniques, emphasis and intonation, the harmony between body language and verbal expression, and improving public speaking skills.

In her speech, Menderes emphasized that the power of speech is a decisive factor in both academic and professional life, highlighting that effective speaking is not only a talent but also a skill that can be developed. Within the program, practical examples were presented to students, and exercises were conducted on correct articulation and oratory techniques.

The event, held on February 23, 2026, at the Ayvalık Vocational School Conference Hall, attracted significant interest from academics and students. At the end of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yakup Dinç, Director of Ayvalık Vocational School, presented a certificate of appreciation to the speaker Ülkü Menderes. Additionally, thanks were extended to Dr. Faculty Member Elif Bezirgan for her contributions to the organization of the event.
