Panel on "The Past, Present, and Future of Olive Cultivation in Ayvalık: Economic and Sustainability Perspectives" Held at Ayvalık Vocational School
The Business Management Program of the Department of Management and Organization at Ayvalık Vocational School organized a panel entitled “The Past, Present, and Future of Olive Cultivation in Ayvalık: Economic and Sustainability Perspectives.” The event, held in the Vocational School Conference Hall, began with a musical performance and continued with presentations by the invited panelists.
The panel was moderated by Lecturer Hayri Taşkır. Halil Sucu, Chairman of the Board of Özgün Zeytincilik, shared his insights on the economic value of olive oil and recent developments in the sector. Dr. Mücahit Kıvrak, Lecturer, discussed agricultural sustainability and the importance of high-quality production in the olive industry.
The event focused on the history, present status, and future of olive cultivation in Ayvalık. Following an interactive question-and-answer session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yakup Dinç, Director of Ayvalık Vocational School, presented plaques and certificates of appreciation to the panelists in recognition of their valuable contributions. The program concluded with a group photograph.
Participants were also invited to complete a post-event satisfaction survey at the end of the panel.
